Tasting Good, Doing Good

At Group of Butchers, we produce high-quality, responsibly made

meat and vegetarian products across the Netherlands, Belgium, and

Germany. Our products stand out in taste and quality because we

hold our suppliers to the highest standards, and they are crafted

with care, responsibility, and respect for both people and the planet.

From our roots as a traditional butcher, we have grown into a trusted privatelabel

partner for food companies across Europe. Together with our customers

we strengthen brands with excellent ready-to-eat products. Many of them

have ambitious sustainability goals and so do we. By joining forces, we create

real impact.

We are not perfect, but we are making strong progress: reducing CO₂

emissions, cutting plastic and supporting the protein transition. At the same

time, we stay true to our butcher’s spirit: passionate about great food, nononsense,

and committed to doing things properly.

Group of Butchers builds its future by combining tradition, responsibility, and

continuous improvement. Tasting Good, Doing Good.

1. Smart use of resources

We focus on efficiency in everything we do – from energy and water to raw materials, packaging and time. This not only lowers our footprint but also drives innovation in areas like CO2 reduction, protein transition, food waste reduction and recyclable packaging.

2. Responsible throughout the chain

Our products come with a promise: full transparency, traceability and care for both people and animals. By ensuring animal welfare, preventing deforestation and building an open supply chain, we create trust and value for our customers and consumers.

3. Stronger together

True impact is achieved by working together. We engage our people, share knowledge and partner with others to raise standards, improve safety and strengthen communication – making sustainability a collective success.

Through innovation, collaboration, and transparency, we seek to achieve Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050 in alignment with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). We strive to continuously improve our operations, foster partnerships with like-minded suppliers, and contribute to the global transition toward a more responsible food system.

Group of Butchers awarded EcoVadis ‘Committed’ rating

At Group of Butchers we are proud to share that EcoVadis has recognized our efforts with a Committed rating. This acknowledgement underlines that we have already taken important first steps in making our business more sustainable – and that we are dedicated to raising the bar even further.

Sustainability is a journey, and we see this recognition as encouragement to accelerate our progress. From reducing CO2 emissions and improving animal welfare to making our packaging recycle-ready, we are committed to building a future-proof food system together with our customers and partners.

Our commitment to zero deforestation

At Group of Butchers we take responsibility for the impact of our products on people, animals and the planet. That is why we have a clear policy in place to ensure that none of our raw materials contribute to deforestation. Most of our beef is sourced from Northwestern Europe, and we work closely with our partners to safeguard full traceability across the chain.

With this approach we contribute to protecting forests, biodiversity and local communities – while keeping tasty and sustainable products accessible to everyone.
